With a focus on sustainability and craftsmanship, Dovetail partners with over 80 factories across the world- ensuring each product upholds high standards in both style and ethics. But with hundreds of new SKUs launched each season, scaling high-quality lifestyle imagery was a mounting challenge.
“We launch about 500 new SKUs for every High Point Market,” said Marco Mazzoni, Director of Technology and Digital Marketing at Dovetail. “And creating photography to support that volume just wasn’t scalable with traditional methods.”
The Photoshop Bottleneck
Before embracing AI, Dovetail relied on Photoshop and stock backgrounds to build lifestyle imagery manually. The process was time-consuming, labor-intensive, and inconsistent in visual quality.
“Each image would take two to three days to complete,” explained Daniel Menendez, Senior Graphic Designer. “We’d shoot the product with specific lighting to match a stock background, and even then, a lot of the results just weren’t usable. We might only keep two or three out of every four we created in a week.”
The limitations weren’t just about time.
“Our creative team is small—five people including myself,” said Marco. “We were constantly behind on requests for assets. It was impossible to keep our homepage fresh or create enough variety across marketing channels.”

These custom styles allowed Dovetail to extend their brand look consistently across every channel — from web to print, social to showroom displays, and even third-party marketplaces.
“We’re using Presti images everywhere,” said Marco. “On our website, lookbooks, social media, and in sales materials for partners. The quality is so good, sometimes better than real photography.”
Bringing New Life to Old Shots
One unexpected benefit was that AI didn’t just streamline new image creation, it rescued photos once deemed unusable.
“We had a real-life shoot that didn’t turn out great,” Daniel explained. “We weren’t going to use some of those images. But with Presti’s Premium Relight and custom style model, we enhanced them into stunning lifestyle images that now live on our homepage.
